Piedmont, Italy
A workhorse gin that is at home in a negroni as a martini. Distilled with wild Italian juniper, this has a slightly more botanical approach than your standard London Dry.
Bordiga has been producing spirits and vermouth in Piedmont, Italy since 1889. In fact, the copper pot still used to make this gin is now an internationally registered historic artifact! There are four main characters in this Italian gin: Angelica, Cardamom, something secret, and of course Juniper, which is the one agent that sets this spirit apart. This varietal grows wild in the Occitan Alps high above the distillery, and is all hand-harvested, leading to extremely limited production.
