How you spot it blind: Brisk acidity and a penetrating floral nose, like Albariño but leaner and simpler.

The story

A white grape native to Galicia, long confined to Ribeiro, where it became very scarce. It has been recovered in recent years around A Arnoia and studied at EVEGA, which vinified Lado from its experimental vineyard in 2004 and 2005. Today it is used mainly in blends to add freshness and aroma.
