STANLEY’S SELECTIONS
Meet the Winemaker: Zach Petersen of Mazette Wines
Wednesday, July 22nd | 6-8pm | $21
Mazette is the Santa Barbara County wine project of Zach Petersen, a winemaker who believes great wine is grown, not made. After working harvests at Sandhi, Domaine de la Côte, Domaine Alain Graillot in France, and with the team at Cosecha Farming, Zach launched Mazette with a focus on restoring overlooked vineyards and farming them with regenerative practices. His philosophy is that healthier vineyards produce more compelling wines. Rather than relying on heavy-handed winemaking, he lets thoughtful farming and careful vineyard stewardship do the work, using a light touch in the cellar so each wine tastes like the place it came from. The result is a lineup of fresh, balanced wines that showcase the diversity of California's Central Coast, with farming always taking center stage.
Join us on Wednesday, July 22, anytime from 6–8pm as Zach visits Stanley's to taste you on 3 stellar wines plus a vermouth that uses 13 California-sourced organic botanicals. Just $21 at the door for all four pours—a great opportunity to meet one of California's most exciting young growers and taste firsthand how farming shapes what’s your glass!

STANLEY’S WINE CLASS
NEW & NATURAL
WEDNESDAY JULY 29TH
6:00 PM TO 7:30 PM PST
The natural wine world is ever-exploring, ever-changing. And while some may say that natural wine is having a moment — at Stanley's, it's been the whole point from the start. Natural wine resists easy definition: no universally agreed-upon rules, no certification body, no single style. What holds it together is a philosophy — farming organically or biodynamically, working with native yeasts, and keeping cellar intervention to a minimum. The results can range from precise and classical to funky and unconventional, and in this class you'll taste both ends of that spectrum. Six wines, six producers, zero additives, and zero apologies. Come with an open mind and leave with a better sense of what all the fuss is about.
*Please note $10 of the class fee is a service charge that goes directly to the staff supporting the event. Admission includes tastes of six wines, instructional materials, snacks, and the $10 service charge.
