The story
First written down · late 19th century, Greece
Oenologist Vangelis Gerovassiliou rescued Malagousia from near-extinction in the 1970s–80s after finding surviving vines at Domaine Porto Carras in Halkidiki and propagating them at his Epanomi estate.
