Clos Puy Arnaud
The estate’s name appears in 19th century editions of the Feret guide to Bordeaux as a noted site, reflecting the area’s long reputation. Valette leaned into that heritage while changing how the place was farmed, moving to organic methods early and adopting biodynamic practice soon after.
Today Clos Puy Arnaud is certified both organic and biodynamic. Grapes are picked by hand and moved by gravity, fermentations start with native yeast at moderate temperatures, and aging splits across barrels, large casks, and amphorae before a period in cement. The aim is fruit and minerality with gentle extraction, and that is what is expressed in the glass.
