Meinklang
2021 Meinklang 'Graupert' Pinot Gris 750mL
Meinklang embraces polycultural, biodynamic farming and vineyard biodiversity that few in the world can match. This emphasis on biodiversity produces "alive" and healthy soils, which in turn support healthy vines that produce wines with unmistakable energy. This 'Graupert' Pinot Gris comes from vines left unpruned for several years, allowing them to grow wild and regulate their own yields. This results in very small grapes that have a high skin-to-juice ratio, producing wines with intense aromatics and flavors.
A medium-to-intense orange wine. Nectarine, apricot, and orange zest with wild flowers and wild herbs, with a firm tannic finish. A layered and thought-provoking wine that's best with food - great with charcuterie, herby roast chicken, or grilled fish.

Meinklang
Meinklang’s vineyards are biodynamic and part of a larger farm organism. The wine side is led by Angela and Werner Michlits, with spontaneous fermentations and a mix of stainless steel, wood and concrete eggs. Sources differ on vineyard scale, with Jancis Robinson writing of 55 hectares of vines while a U.S. importer lists 70 hectares, so expect a large mixed farm and several dozen hectares under vine either way.
