Cellers de Can Suriol del Castell
2025 Azimut Penedès Brisat Orange 750ml
Azimut is the Suriol family's everyday Catalan project, delivering fresh, affordable wines from certified organic grapes and paying neighbors fair prices for their fruit. In Penedès, Brisat denotes orange wine, from brisa, or pomace, the grape skins and seeds. Here the grapes ferment with their skins for five days, then rest three months in underground concrete, a short and gentle path that keeps the wine sunny and clean. Assís Suriol oversees the cellar and favors simple, sturdy vessels. The aim is an everyday bottle that stays true to certified organic farming and fair fruit sourcing.
Peach and nectarine lead, with a light spice that lifts the fruit. Easy-going and fresh, it stays sunny and clean, its balance shaped by the brief skin maceration and the calm rest in underground concrete.
