La Bernarde

2025 La Bernarde ‘Les Hauts du Luc’ Côtes de Provence Blanc 750mL

Sale price$25.00

5 in stock

Lemon, white peach and citrus blossom lead, with a hint of salty sea air and a stony, refreshing snap. The acidity runs clean and vibrant, and a subtle herbal streak keeps the flavors savory rather than sweet. The texture stays light on its feet and the finish is crisp and clear.

It arrives cool and precise, stays quiet and focused, and keeps its snap from first glass to last. Philippe Austruy and his nephew Alban Cacaret farm these high-elevation Provence vines organically, picking about ten days later than lower sites to favor freshness. They ferment and age the blend of Rolle and Ugni Blanc in stainless steel so the core stays pure and brisk. The result is a clear, refreshing take on Provence that you will remember for its lift.

La Bernarde

La Bernarde sits in the hills above Le Luc in central Provence and earned a reputation for ageworthy reds, with the estate appearing on notable restaurant lists in the 1980s.

In 2015 the property was revived by Philippe Austruy and his nephew Alban Cacaret as part of the Vignobles Austruy group, which also includes Commanderie de Peyrassol in Provence, Château Malescasse in the Haut Medoc, Tenuta Casenuove in Tuscany, and Quinta da Côrte in the Douro.

Farming is certified organic. The vineyards are high elevation around 370 m on clay and limestone with many stones and southeast exposures, which pushes harvest about 10 days later than lower parts of the appellation and favors freshness.
