Stanley's Wine Class - Essential California Central Coast Wines - May 27, 2026, 6-7:30pm
For Los Angeles wine drinkers, the Central Coast is practically in the backyard — and yet most people know it mainly as a place to pass through on the way to San Francisco. That's changing. Stretching from the Santa Cruz Mountains down through Paso Robles and into Santa Barbara County, the Central Coast is one of California's most diverse wine regions, shaped by a geography that swings wildly between warm inland valleys and cool ocean-influenced hillsides. That range of conditions has attracted a generation of small, organically-minded growers who are producing some of the most exciting and undervalued wines in the state. In this class, we'll pour six of them — classically styled, transparently made, and chosen with zero deference to ratings. Consider this your introduction to the wine region at your doorstep.
*Please note $10 of the class fee is a service charge that goes directly to the staff supporting the event. Admission includes tastes of six wines, instructional materials, snacks, and the $10 service charge.
