Stanley's Wine Class - Essential California North Coast Wines - April 29, 2026, 6-7:30pm
The North Coast put California wine on the map in the 1970s. But today, Napa and Sonoma have a reputation problem. Thirty years of trophy bottles, inflated scores, and paint-by-numbers winemaking have made it easy to write off the whole region. That story isn’t wrong, but it’s incomplete. Our understanding of North Coast terroir has matured, and there's a quieter group of small producers farming organically, working with minimal intervention in the cellar, and making wines that actually taste like somewhere specific. In this class, we'll pour and learn about six wines for a modern understanding of North Coast — classically styled, transparently made, and chosen with zero deference to ratings. Come ready to reconsider.
*Please note $10 of the class fee is a service charge that goes directly to the staff supporting the event. Admission includes tastes of six wines, instructional materials, snacks, and the $10 service charge.
