Domaine U Stiliccionu
2017 Domaine U Stiliccionu Sottu Scala 750mL
It opens in quiet layers, then fresh red cherry and fine tannin carry the table as the bottle breathes.
Big and beautiful and seriously structured, with compoted red cherry through a medium frame that stays bright. Silky, fine grained tannin keeps it firm without weight, and the complexity builds rather than crowding the glass. Sébastien Poly co-ferments Sciaccarellu with Niellucciu to add backbone without losing the grape's lift. Vines first planted in 1961 on granitic sand with veins of schist in the Taravo valley give detail and a quiet stony edge. This is the domaine's vin du garde, a Corsican original that shows depth without noise.

Domaine U Stiliccionu
Sébastien Poly took over from his grandfather in the mid‑2000s, expanding the vineyards and farming organically with a biodynamic bent. In the cellar he works with native yeast and minimal inputs to express Corsican varieties like Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu and Vermentinu with clarity and lift.
